چکیده
An alternate medium consisting of sugarcane juice (SJ) (Saccharum spp.) and chicken feather peptone (CFP) was employed for microbial synthesis levan. SJ has considerable amounts vital minerals, vitamins, amino acids in addition to its major constituent, sucrose. Meanwhile, CFP is also a rich source essential nutrients such as acids, micro macro elements. Amino present CFP, glutamic acid, arginine, aspartic asparagine elements Ca, Mg favoured the cell growth levan production. In this work, produced using Bacillus subtilis MTCC 441 five different media, namely, sucrose along with defined (M1), Sugarcane Juice without (M2), (M3), (M4) nutrient (M5). Alternative showed promising yield 0.32 ± 0.01 g levan/g consumed, which 64% theoretical possible. Levan characterized Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). There change low molecular weight fractions obtained from compared medium. Produced composite exhibited strong antioxidant activity biocompatible when tested against endothelial cells. The substrate cost 20% lower than Thus, made can serve an low-cost fermentation.

Optimization of rhamnolipid production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa OG1 using waste frying oil and chicken feather peptone
In the present study, production of rhamnolipid biosurfactant by Pseudomonas aeruginosa OG1 was statistically optimized by response surface methodology. Box-Behnken design was applied to determine the optimal concentrations of 52, 9.2, and 4.5 g/L for carbon source (waste frying oil), nitrogen source (chicken feather peptone), and KH2PO4, respectively, in production medium. Under the optimized ...
متن کاملDirect Somatic Embryogenesis for Rapid , Cost Effective Production of Transgenic Sugarcane ( Saccharum Spp . Hybrids )
During the last decade, considerable effort has been expended in developing an efficient transformation system for sugarcane. Most protocols employ microprojectile bombardment of gene constructs into embryogenic sugarcane callus. The numbers of transgenic plants produced per bombardment range from 0.1-20 globally, with genotype response and selection regime appearing to be the most important fa...
متن کاملEnhancement of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Growth and Rhamnolipid Production Using Iron-Silica Nanoparticles in Low-Cost Medium
The application of iron-silica (Fe-Si) nanoparticles for the enhancement of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa growth and rhamnolipid production in molasses medium was studied. The experiments were designed based on the response surface method (RSM) to optimize growth and rhamnolipid production. The concentration of nanoparticles and the time required to add nanoparticles to culture medium were conside...
متن کاملCharacterization of sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) leaf senescence: implications for biofuel production
BACKGROUND Second-generation ethanol (2G-bioethanol) uses lignocellulosic feedstocks for ethanol production. Sugarcane is one among the most suitable crops for biofuel production. Its juice is extracted for sugar production, while sugarcane bagasse, straw, and senescing leaves are considered industrial waste. Senescence is the age-dependent deterioration of plant cells, ultimately leading to ce...
